ArkData (CEO Ko Kwang-yun), a company specializing in datareplication integrated solutions, announced on the 25th that it has releasedArk for CDC v.2.0, a real-time heterogeneous database replication solution.
Ark for CDC v.2.0,introduced this time, is an upgraded version of Ark for CDC which is the first in Korea to apply the independently developed log analysisengine technology, and it is well-received by the industry for its low totalcost of ownership when building and operating the system. Ark for CDC could minimize risks, ensure business continuity, and increase business efficiency.
Accordingly, in consideration of thecontinuously increasing demand for heterogeneous data replication technology, ArkData decided to release an upgraded version sothat it can be effectively used in various fields. Compared to the previousversion, the newly released solution strengthened data replication performanceand added new functions and modes to increase the convenience of operation andmanagement.
One of the newly supported items is‘Multi Write". In one Extract module, extract data can be recorded in multipletracing files with different aliases. By reducing modules that access theproduction database, I/O is reduced, so the load on the production server canbe effective. In addition, since it is possible to transmit different data foreach target in one Extract module, and easy to configure1:N replication.
‘Disk Utilization Limit" is alsoavailable. A disk utilization limit setting has been added so that the maximumdisk utilization of the data replication target server can be optimized for theuser environment. This reduces the hassle of checking disk usage every daywhile improving the convenience of operation and management.
In addition, tostrengthen the stability of work, a checkpoint is created to record the point atwhich the Post module has completed the application, and it is stored on a table in the database so that the replication job statuscan be reflected more quickly and accurately. In the event of an unforeseenaccident, the existing checkpoints can be used to respond quickly, allowingreal users to focus on their work without fear of issues.
In addition, by adding various modes, thereplication speed was highly improved. Parallelmode is implemented so that multiple tasks can be performed simultaneously by onePost module applying data in parallel, and by applying Batch mode, input datacan be rearranged into similar SQL statements to perform tasks at once. Byincluding these various modes in the upgraded version, the replication speedwas increased, while work efficiency was also strengthened compared to theprevious version.
In addition, it supports a web-basedmonitoring function that enables real-time monitoring of the current situationto help accurate business decisions. It is also possible to set and control Arkfor CDC, so it has the advantage of being able to respond quickly depending onthe situation.
Director Yoon Cheol Jang of Ark Data"sR&D Center said, "It"s thrilledto successfully launch a new version of Ark For CDC. We are proud of the high level of perfection aswe have gathered and analyzed the opinions of the clients and internalemployees who have been supplied, and derived areas for improvement andreflected them.” In addition, he added, “We areexpecting interest from various industry fields since this solution implementsthe necessary functions for most companies such as domestic and foreignconglomerates, as well as public institutions.”
