ArkData (CEO Ko Kwang-yun), a company that specializes in real-time data replication, announced on the 17th that its CDC (Change Data Capture) product, 'Ark for CDC', will now support data extraction in Tibero DBMS from TmaxTibero.
‘Ark for CDC' is Korea's first CDC solution with independently developed log analysis engine technology. This product is receiving favorable reviews from the industry due to its high usability and performance. It can extract changed data in real-time, replicate heterogeneous databases, convert to the cloud, build a disaster recovery system (DR), and migrate data without interruption.
As the trend of moving away from Oracle databases continues in the market, and the demand for high-performance domestic databases increases, ArkData has announced its support for Tibero DB developed by TmaxTibero. Tibero DB currently holds the largest market share in the domestic database market. The aim of this solution is to serve as a third-party tool that supports data replication and synchronization for domestic databases that foreign CDC solutions do not support. The plan is to enable replication of domestic databases to various open DBMS such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and Kafka environments. This will support a real-time data integration platform for domestic databases, which will be the first of its kind in Korea.
This development not only enables data extraction from Tibero DB, but also supports multi-instance configurations, including Tibero Active Cluster (TAC), and more. By implementing multi-threading technology throughout the entire replication process of data extraction, transmission, and application, including various levels of data mapping, conversion, and filtering technologies, our product significantly improves performance compared to others. In addition, it is the only product in both domestic and foreign markets that supports CDC-based Kafka connector for seamless integration with Tibero DB's Apache Kafka platform. This feature proves the technological superiority and differentiation of ArkData.
Ko Kwang-yun, the CEO of ArkData, stated, "We plan to gradually expand our support for domestic databases, starting with Tibero DB." He expressed his ambition by adding, "Our goal is to support various domestic databases to activate the domestic B2B infrastructure software ecosystem. We aim to implement a win-win strategy that will result in the replacement of foreign software imports and benefit all parties involved."
