ArkData to Officially Support 'Tibero 7' DBMS

2024-04-24

ArkData to Officially Support Domestic Database 'Tibero 7'   ArkData, a specialist in real-time data replication (CEO: Ko Kwang-yeon), has announced official support for real-time data extraction and replication for the latest version of TmaxTibero's Tibero (Tibero) DBMS, Tibero 7. The product that supports replication for Tibero 7 is ArkData's 'Ark for CDC'. This solution utilizes a log analysis engine technology developed domestically for the first time, enabling the real-time extraction of changed data. It is utilized for various purposes such as heterogeneous DB replication, cloud migration, Big Data deployment, disaster recovery system (DR) establishment, and uninterrupted data migration through CDC (Changed Data Capture). Acknowledged for its high utility and performance, it has received accolades from the industry. Tibero 7, supported by Ark for CDC, is a user-customized DBMS that is not constrained by On-premise and Cloud environments, particularly optimized for enterprise environments requiring high-speed transaction processing and handling large volumes of data. In line with this, ArkData has introduced a CDC solution optimized for transaction processing of large databases by supporting Multi-thread & Multi-process, enabling fast and efficient replication of diverse configurations of data with minimal system overhead by transmitting unique data to multiple targets with a single extract.  Furthermore, it supports fast, high-performance data replication through various levels of data mapping, converting, and filtering technologies, and is the only product that supports a CDC-based Kafka connector for integrating with the Apache Kafka platform of Tibero 7 DB, both domestically and internationally. This enabled real-time streaming data processing through Kafka using domestically produced databases, as well as implementation of microservice architecture. Thus, it elevated the technological capabilities of domestic software to the next level. ArkData and TmaxTibero are being used together in various industries such as finance, public sector, and manufacturing, collaborating on projects with a wide range of clients. They have signed an ISV partner agreement last November to strengthen their cooperation through mutual integration and joint sales efforts, enhancing their market competitiveness.
ArkData Supplies Solution for Hyundai Home Shopping's Next-Generation System Project

2024-01-25

ArkData Co., Ltd., led by CEO Ko Kwang-Yeon, announced on the 24th that it has supplied its solutions for the next-generation system project of Hyundai Home Shopping, headed by CEO Han Kwang-Young. Since its establishment in 2001, Hyundai Home Shopping has been providing high-quality products at reasonable prices through its TV home shopping and comprehensive internet shopping mall, Hyundai Hmall. The company pioneered T-commerce services in Korea and launched the industry's first shopping app for smart TVs in 2011, leading the N-screen era shopping market across PC, mobile, and TV. The aim of this next-generation project for Hyundai Home Shopping was to provide more efficient, customized shopping services. The primary objective was to transfer data from various integrated business databases, including big data, to analytical and query servers, enhancing channel-integrated marketing, customer shopping, and delivery services. ArkData, a specialist in real-time data replication solutions, played a key role in this project by supplying "Ark Connector" and "Ark for CDC", a heterogeneous data replication solution, enabling flexible data operation and distribution in any environment using a Kafka setup for handling large volumes of data. The "Ark for CDC" (Changed Data Capture) solution enables real-time data usage by transmitting data to various servers such as the order/payment DB, partnership DB, and display product DB, ensuring immediate reflection of customer order status. Despite the different heterogeneous DB servers, seamless interconnection was achieved, significantly enhancing work efficiency. Furthermore, "Ark Connector" was utilized to transmit and store large volumes of data including integrated member information, order/payment, and product/promotion information in real-time to the Kafka platform. This solution, integrated with "Ark for CDC", standardizes the entire process from data extraction to application, making it easier for users to use the Kafka platform. Notably, unlike standard CDC-based Kafka connectors, "Ark Connector" ensures data stability and perfect consistency even during peak times without replication delays or data loss. Hyundai Home Shopping, through "Ark Connector", can now use the data stored in Kafka to enable customers to access all related shopping information in one go, including their past purchase history of similar products and current discount information across all channels when searching for specific products on TV home shopping. Additionally, the company can effectively conduct customer-tailored algorithm marketing using the collected big data. CEO Ko Kwang-Yeon of ArkData stated, "In the home shopping business, the most critical aspects are the ability to swiftly adapt to rapidly changing business environments and the capacity to handle large volumes of data in real-time. This next-generation project has firmly proven the capabilities of ArkData's solutions." He expressed strong confidence in the product's success.
